Assessment

The first step in the Strategic Prevention Framework, assessment provides the evidence and extent of substance abuse problems in your target population. In the pSTAR Assessment module, you will maintain your assessment data that is relevant to your program. Once you add a data point you can update that data regularly so that you can monitor changes and trends.

How do you start tracking a data point:  Tracking data is a two-step process. In step one, you’ll set up all the parameters like name of data point, population track, frequency and rate, etc.  Step two is entering the actual data. Once you have a data set, you can new data as needed. You can even attach your data to your logic models to support your problem statement and contributing factors. As you track your data over time, you will prepare and view trend reports in the Evaluation section.
